• Developing thematic concepts for new card sets;
• Designing new card sets from a gameplay perspective: mechanics, archetypes, and synergies;
• Writing and approving design documents for new card mechanics for the development team;
• Creating, balancing, tuning, and integrating cards into the game;
• Participating in the new card set pipeline and managing deadlines;
• Analyzing player feedback, working with game analytics, and rebalancing cards based on the data gathered;
• Communicating with the project's art team, working with references, and writing briefs for artists and animators;
• Contributing to the development of cosmetic content (card backs, battlefields, etc.);
• Collaborating with the development team at all stages of content creation;
• Working closely with the project's lead game designer.
• 1–2+ years of experience as a game designer in the gaming industry, with at least 1 year of experience creating in-game content;
• Extensive playtime in well-known online or tabletop CCGs;
• Understanding of visual programming / logic graph principles (e.g. Unreal Blueprints);
• Excellent game design documentation skills;
• Knowledge of combat balance calculation and tuning principles, and the ability to iterate on balance through playtesting;
• Proficiency in Unity;
• Strong written Russian communication skills;
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems;
• Ability to work remotely with a high level of self-discipline.
Nice to have:
• Extensive experience in midcore/hardcore CCG/TCG games;
• Experience creating content on a live, operating project;
• Experience working with core gameplay balance in CCGs;
• Basic understanding of game analytics (metrics, winrate, pickrate, etc.);
• Broad familiarity with the fantasy genre and a genuine love for it;
• Strong ability to work with and process feedback;
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
